Still the best
Quantumfog's readers may express spiritual and moral angst with all the US bashing coming outta the Middle East and Venezuela, not to mention a few of our own. Paco Rosic has a message for ya.
Remember Sarajevo, the bombs and ethnic cleansing back in the early 90's? Paco was about 12 years old then, looking for a little peace and quiet. Family members managed to scrape together enough change to move out of the area. They wandered through Eastern Europe and landed in Germany.
Just as he was settled in, the family ups and moves to Waterloo, Iowa. There, Paco tried his hand at spray painting graffiti. This creative bent was combined with some work at the art studio in the local community college. That led to painting the Sistine Chapel in Cedar Falls. Using spray paint from a can.
His notoriety with this art form is becoming nouveau in metro art centers.
He's now a US citizen, along with the family. After traveling from the Med through Europe, he says the US is "the greatest country. I work my ass off here. But what I get back- friends, my family, a house, my art. America is the only place you can do this."
