Peter Callesen finds his muse with an ordinary sheet of typing paper. He is enamored of the transition from a flat 2 dimensional object to 3 dimensions.
His carefully rendered work is an expression of a youthful perspective of fairy tales and romanticism. The castle is inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's "The Steadfast Tin Soldier".
Peter alternates illusion, reflection, impossibility and nature to bring meaning from something quite simple.
