If you're trying to get some kind of handle on the worlds' religions, try ReligionFacts. They've gone through the task of creating a summary of 30 of the worlds largest religions.
The information is given in the form of a table, side by side, to make comparison easier.
The site admits it's shortcomings, considering the complexities of each religion. But its an interesting glance at how it all breaks out.
Elsewhere on the site, comparisons are made between various religions and contemporary issues such as euthenasia, homosexuality and the Da Vinci Code. Someone is seriously trying to make sense of it all.
