...'cause it runs on nickel hydride batteries. Does not need an oil change. Top speed about 62mph; goes from 0 to 50 in 6.8 seconds. The high-tech Vectrix maxi-scooter is scheduled to be available in US in 2006 from their production plant in New Bedford, Mass. Price not set for US, should be around $6,000 to $8,000.
