Tree level transport

Kim Pederson likes the building code in Fremont, California. They don't mind him going vertical with his backyard transportation.

He got the monorail bug back when he was in high school, class of '69. Twenty-seven years later, he starts buying the parts. It takes another five years of working weekends and evenings until he has the ribbon cutting ceremony.

His wife Carol is seen here on a tour of the backyard.

Kim cannibalized parts from a battery powered cart for the train. The horizontal beams are made of 3/8 inch plywood laminate creating a 4x8 inch track. The $4,000 project is the length of a football field.

Sing it, Chubby

Can't let'cha go without starting the day off right. Check the volume.
