Suppose you had your own energy machine, creating electricity for the house and charging the car batteries. Would that change the world? You betcha.
To this end, the world was supposed to have seen a fantastic display of perpetual energy last week in England. Steorn, LTD attempted to start up their invention called Orbo, only to find it didn't work. The leader of the group is CEO Sean McCarthy seen here holding some part of the secret device. His PR spin: "We screwed up".
One of the puzzles about the endeavor is the bunch of guys working on the Orbo project; they're all serious, they all say it works.
Lending to the credibility of their work is the announcement last August for scientists to examine Orbo for validity. And, the company refuses to accept investment offers until the scientists complete their study.
Confirmation of Steorn's machine comes from Magnetic Power Inc, doing business in Sebastopol, California. MPI is headed up by Mark Goldes, who says he has mechanical and solid state versions being tested by independent labs to demonstrate proof of concept.
