It's better than last years model, and more expensive, too. Pictured is version 2 of Robosapien; it has more movements, easier programming, stereo microphones for sensing audio, more attitude. Also bowls. Doesn't do well on carpets. $250.
Other brands are available, but take a little time with the specs. QuantumFog recommends ZMP's Nuvo only if you have a lot more money than common sense. It's claim to fame is a mounted camera system that sends pictures to a cellphone. $6,000, give or take a thousand or so.
