And they can sell you some uranium ore
"Ten years away" has been the mantra of General Motors and other institutionalized automotives since, at least, the seventies. Today, they're still saying its ten years away.
Quantum Fog cautions that any use of this time frame usually means one of two extremes: the company either has a working model or doesn't have a clue. Like the barking dog catching up with that car at the stop sign, sometimes both is possible.
But, lets put dogs aside, both furry and wheeled, and take a look at an example of american ingenuity as practiced at United Nuclear.
They have a hydrogen conversion kit that is almost ready for market. It includes a solar powered hydrogen generator that stores the gas in an on-board tank. Or several, if you have room. Each tank should last about 100 miles. Also under development is an injection system that will work on any vehicle. The estimated price range for SUV and pickup kits is $7,000 to $10,000.
Peter Hoffman's paperback on hydrogen energy is available, should you require more information.
