QuantumFog departs from routine, better serving his efforts to neutralize the yin-yang of anomie and angst.

Life And I
by Rull Life came by And I hitched A ride. It took me On a journey Through a span Of time. In the beginning, The road was smooth. My eyes were infant So I looked with wonder. My lot was happiness For a fleeting time. Then up the hills, We went, Life and I. My youthful eyes Took in knowledge, Right and wrong signs Along every mile. At times, temptation Led us astray, Guided us To dark roads With barely enough light To quail the darkness, Potholes and gravel Made a rough ride, Danger and harm We narrowly missed But somehow, Life and I, We made it through To a stretch of smoothness, Bountiful in its lush rewards. Joy hung from trees, Laughter paved the streets. Family and friends Imbued the air. Life and I, delighted In what maturity brought To my questing eyes. So here we dwelled In peace awhile Then life got restless It wanted to go. Other souls were waiting For its mystery ride. Before my aging eyes Life passed and bid Me farewell With one final look At the life I lived. Every road we took Was shown to me And the balance Tipped To a life well spent.
