And there goes your career

Dr Katja Schneider revelled in her knowledge of art as the Director of the State Art Museum in Moritzburg, Germany. Given a painting for perusal by the Bild newspaper, her immediate response was to ascribe the work to Ernst Wilhelm Nay.

Said "...he was famous for using such blotches of color".

The Bild newspaper then revealed the true artist to be a female chimpanzee named Banghi, from the Halle Zoo.

Without missing a beat, Dr Schneider replied, "I did think it looked a bit rushed".
