Getting some nukie
Cesium-137 is a soft metal that may be released into the air as particulate matter. It occurs naturally in various minerals, but most is produced as a byproduct of nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons.
Radiation from Cesium-137 causes cancer, radiation burns and in extreme situations, death. The map shows the deposit of Cesium-137 on the European and Asian continents following Chernobyl.
