Good morning, Miami...
Risk Management Solutions is a company that likes the numbers. RMS has people culling data files all over the world looking for anything that affects their predictions of potential disasters.
They look at probability models for earthquakes, hurricanes and pandemics, then make a list. Here's the top fifteen most disaster prone cities in North America, starting with the worst.
1. Miami, FL 2. New Orleans, LA 3. Oakland, CA 4. San Francisco, CA 5. Honolulu, HI 6. San Jose, CA 7. Los Angeles, CA 8. Houston, TX 9. Long Beach, CA 10. Tulsa, OK 11. Oklahoma City, OK 12. Columbus, OH 13. Sacramento, CA 14. Virginia Beach, VA 15. Seattle, WA
Everything must go
Siegler & Co is trying their hand at having an online liquidation sale. For instance, you can pick up one of these brown leather tri-corner hats for the paltry sum of $80. Bostonians can wear them during their traffic jam revolt, while San Franciscans can coordinate them with a pair of tiger striped lederhosen and a feather boa.
They're saying you can save 80% on their adventure through history collection. Some of it looks interesting.
