On August 26, 2006, two groups of protesters faced off, separated by police and a short city block. One group was Americans, protesting illegal aliens.
The other group was Mexicans, sympathizing with illegals. Seen here, this group took down the US flag from the post office, dropped it on the ground and ran up the Mexican flag.
While doing this, others on the side of the illegals carried signs calling the Americans racist. Some of these are believed to be associated with Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA), an organization whose motto is "por la Raza todo; fuera la Raza nada". That is, "Do for the Race. Outside the Race nothing".
Thanks for dealing us that one. Now, us white folks have a race card we can play.
Some carrying signs that say the southwestern US was stolen from Mexico probably didn't read the sales contract. In fact, Mexico was paid a total of $25 million for the territory back in 1858.
We could sell it back. Of course, we've made a few improvements since then. Make us an offer.
