An idea that could spread
Yup. Annemarie Jorritsma is my kinda gal. She's the mayor of Almere, located in the central part of Netherlands.
She's concerned for the welfare of 2,000 Netherlands troops assigned to remote locations in Bosnia and Afghanistan. One day, the good Mayor gets on television and recommends sending them a 'plane load of prostitutes. Says it'll take the edge off things and keep 'em from hitting on the local women.
Keen to expand the franchise, Netherlands sex industry rep Andre van Dorst says he's trying to raise support for the idea.
Afghanistan would change quite a bit from the bad 'ol Taliban days. These gals could put on a burqa, hijab and veil, then bellydance their wares across the Middle East as counterterrorists.
