...must be kissin' that Blarney Stone
Everyone outside the US, lissen up. I know you've been sittin' there, thinking about how you can get a piece of the action. What is mean is filling your pockets with some folding money. Lots of it. Legally. If you could just figure how to tap that American market.
Look around, 'cause chances are, some excellent ideas are right there underfoot.
Take for instance, Pat Burke and Alan Jenkins. One day, they're sluggin' back a few beers in County Cork, Ireland. The next, they're millionaires. Well, almost.
The idea starts with Pat, who visits a friend in Florida. There, he hears that wistful Irish-Americans would like to throw Irish sod on their gravesites. Faith 'n' begorrah!
Back in Ireland, Pat gets to work. But he has trouble trying to get dirt that'll pass agricultural inspection in the US. Eventually, he meets up with Alan who comes up with a passable recipe. Then, they sell it by the pound.
That's right. As I sit here kicking myself in the ass for want of an idea, IrishDirt has a shipment of 70,000 bags of Irish dirt arriving in the US. Roughly valued at $1,000,000.
The shipment includes $2 bags of shamrock seeds, in case you wanna do something productive with the dirt.
If you're in the market, Quantumfog has things around the yard for sale at a discount. High quality mid-western dirt, a few dead June bugs and there's a Fall special on leaves.
