Bovine humans today, reptilian humans tomorrow
Scientists have been implanting the nucleus of human cells into various animals since 1999, basically to see how things would work out. The fertilized eggs were placed in frogs, rabbits and cows. Lord only knows what else.
A couple of labs in the UK are themselves looking for a three year license to fuse humans with cows. The objective is to create stem cells for research into Alzheimers, Parkinson's disease and strokes.
Since human eggs are in short supply, they would remove the genetic material from a cows' egg, then squirt in some human DNA. The result is a chimera, a mix of human and animal. A temporary mix. The stem cells would be extracted in few days and the cell destroyed.
Of course, one of these days somebody's going to keep that embryo going. This planet has got to be the most exciting thing happening within several light-years.
