Finding out what makes things tick

In-Cite keeps track of what scientists write and what they write about each other. This done worldwide for every field of science.

The effort tells something about who is doing the most work and which work is thought to be most important. During 2006, the US published 2,831,004 scientific papers in every discipline. Number two on the list of 145 countries is Japan with 771,573. Germany and England follow with over 700,000 published findings each.
