Charging the plastic
Here's a prototype of a battery based on plastic instead of metal. It's smaller than an iPod Nano and delivers more than 100 times the power of a standard alkaline battery.
Associate Professor Tayhas Palmore at Brown University says it's about as thick as a fingernail and is versatile enough to make into a fabric.
