Sailing on air
Aeros is in the business of making blimps; now they call 'em airships. Probably because the like the Aeros airship alliteration. Anyways, they're used for surveillance, tv broadcasts and promotions. After several years they got tired of doing the usual.
Shown here is the Aeroscraft. It gets its lift and maneuvering capability from a combination of helium and aerodynamic shape. Manufacturing is underway at their plant in Tarzana, California.
Unique to the craft is the use of a rigid hull structure with gas cells, vertical takeoff and landing, hovering and all-weather operation. Aeroscraft can be piloted conventionally or autonomously.
The primary intention for the ship is to transport freight, avoiding the switch between road and rail. I see a booming business with a couple of these in Las Vegas giving tours of the Grand Canyon. Maybe a few more doing some island hopping around Hawaii or the Caribbean.
They oughta be interesting to watch. Aircraft like this have a certain grace to their movement, kinda like watching a whale.
They're not taking investors.
They're free
Would'ja like to play a few games? Of course you would. Here's a couple of hundred.
