UFO's done right
Jean-Louis Naudin is a restless soul, given to perennial inventiveness. Here's one example of his work that bears a vague resemblance to things reported to NUFORC.
Naudin gives homage to Geoff Hatton, who resurrected the technology after it was abandoned in the early 60's. Back then, some guys tried to make a full scale version called the Avrocar.
Unlike the Defense Departments lackluster finish, Naudin's craft shows impressive response and stability. All due to research done in 1910 by a dashing young Romanian named Henri Coanda.
We've all held a curved surface under a running faucet, like a bowl or spoon. Most of us noticed the tendency for the water to "stick" to the curved surface and follow the curve. Same thing happens with air flowing over a car, or in this case, air flowing over the top of Naudin's UAV.
Although it falls short of doing much actual work, Jean-Louis is hot on the trail of propulsion systems that may one day amount to something. Wish he was my next door neighbor.
